Ioannis - Did you try exploring cfcontent tags and setEncoding method in
ColdFusion as you save files in different rdfs?

Thanks.

Subject: About character encooding

Hello everyone

Finally I am developing my first site.!!! The idea is that the site
retriving rss

feeds, cashing them to my server and display them in one central page.
So far so

good. I have found some examples over the internet and with my small
Coldfusion

experience I make it work ok, apart from the encooding. The feeds I

am retrieving are from Greek, France, English and Spanish sites and all
have to be

displayed on the same page. I dont even know where to start reading or
what I am

looking for. I have tryed to play with the locale of the server (Ubuntu
6.06/Utf-8)

and I am defining the encoding to UTF-8 when I am saving the feeds to
rdf files

(<cfhttp url="http://MyGreekRSS.com"; method="get" timeout="10"
path="#GetDirectoryFromPath(SavePath)#"
file="#GetFileFromPath(SavePath)#" charset="utf-8"></cfhttp>)

but still I am getting crazy characters. Any ideas or any user with
similar problems

who has something to suggest, more than welcome as I am a man with no
"knowledge" at

the moment...

Thanx in advance.

Ioannis
