Hi J.J. - 

Your suggestion does work, however, as you predicted, it does break more code.  
We currently run CF7 Standard and are looking into upgrading to CF8 Enterprise. 
 As I am not savvy enough to think of an alternative to my situation, it may 
have to stay as is for now.  Thank you for your suggestion.
