Hi Rick,
Thanks so much, this has been such a wonderful experience!
If there is anything that I can help you with, please let me know.

Yes, I am using MySQL for the database, and the column article_id is
"auto-increment"
Thanks for explaining the "time stamp" as well.

I was able to run your example, and it works wonderfully, as this what I was
hoping to do.
One question about best practices, if I want to display, say the first 12
articles this way would it be better to have a separate table, or just loop
trough the article_ids? I will have pages for separate years(1997,1998, etc.)

For the "complete_article_page.cfm"
Thanks for helping with this as well! I have a question about formatting:
is it possible to have certain words bolded, from the database?
If you look at(http://www.nutritionatc.hawaii.edu/HO/2007/381.htm)
this is how I would like to have the articles listed, and yes I know most of it
is CSS (such as the skipping lines), but for the word "Question, and Answer,
and Q, A" which will be bold, is there a way to make sure tis happens with
ColdFusion?

Again thanks so much for all your help, and I look forward to hearing more about
this, and yes you are right, I would never make a site like this without
ColdFusion!

Look forward to hearing from you again,
John
