Hi, John... I hope that helps. Michael sounds like he has a better long-term solution to working across time zones. I'm not experienced with working UTC time conversion, but it's something I'll check out, too.
I don't think you made the problem more complicated than it is; it's just a reality that your server happens to sit in that part of the world and you have to adjust somehow.
