Hi Zahir,
I too am a University student. ColdFusion with MySQL is great, and
it is all I use to develop on my Mac:)
What platform do you use(Mac, Windows, Linux?) this will help me to
tell you want you should get.

If money is not a concern, you should try Navicat ( works on all
platforms) this will allow you to manage your MySQL databases very
easy. I think that the student price is about $40.00 US.

Are you okay with the coldfusion administrator and working with
setting up datasource?
I can put together a newbie tutorial for you if you need.

You should also look into Adobe's ColdFusion for Eduction(http://
www.adobe.com/education/instruction/teach/cfcurriculum.html)
Just so you know ColdFusion is now free for students, but if you are
only using it for testing, I really don't see a need for the full
version, as I just use the free developers version which works for
the localhost, which is all really need for testing, but I could be
way off on this on.

Let me know how I can help more.
John
