Mike, I'd focus more right now on just building the menu first, then turn it into a custom tag. This way you can focus on one thing at a time. Get it looking the way you want, then convert it to a custom tag. Just take it one step at a time.

My current task is to build a simple navigation menu using cold fusion custom tags. I've seen a few custom tag tutorials using custom tag syntax (e.g. thisTag.executionMode for example) but I don't know how the menu would be assembled. I believe this is very simple if you have an understanding about cold fusion custom tags. I simply need to find a tutorial in building this menu. The menu is not dymamic. The directories and files are already known. I understand there are many other ways to build a menu besides Cold Fusion custom tags. I have been tasked with this functionality. Any guidance, code snippets, links to tutorials or examples would be greatly appreciated. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
