Misha! The restart also made accessing a cfc possible. Strange... D

..about the CF Administrator: Before I re-installed cf8, it had gone away, and
could not be accessed in any way. It must have been a really bad install, huh?

Hi Donna,

To be honest, this is not clear for me:
****************************************************************************
*****
* I am NOT able to view this through IE directly by using the instructed
URL.
****************************************************************************
*****

Are you able get to your CF admin page, I believe it should be something
like: http://localhost/cfide/administrator - ?

When you create a new CF file in DW does that file saved under the root of
your IIS web site (by default it should be something like:
"C:\inetpub\wwwroot") ?

If yes, can you get to that file through IE directly
(http://localhost/yourfile.cfm) and see if it works for you?

If not, check IIS Web Site settings and see the path to folder were your
files should be located.

Hope that help.

Regards,
Misha

Subject: CF Testing server issues

Hi all,

This is the same issue as the previous email, and apologize for bringing
this up again, but I am desparate.
Here's the details:
* I have uninstalled, rebooted, re-installed cf8. CF administrator is
working fine.
* I am able to view a date on a page within Dreamweaver (F12), but only
after a pop-up window saying 'This will update file on testing server'.
* I am NOT able to view this through IE directly by using the instructed
URL.
* Also, CFC's do not seem to be accessible although it's within the same
root directory.

Does anyone have suggestions? If not, what should be my next step? Who
should I contact?
If anyone is willing to make contact directly with me, please say so. I can
even show you directly on my computer what is happening and what the setup
is by using a conferencing software.

Thanks in advance for any support you can give me...
Donna
