Okay, Ray.  Thanks for help shaping my thoughts.  I've moved the code for 
renaming the file to occur after the validation checks are clean.  The proper 
file types do get uploaded and renamed properly.  Improper file types are not 
uploaded, but the directory is still created.  Not a big deal.  I'd rather have 
an empty directory instead of a harmful or improper file.
