Well, to be clear, the "new style" isn't really a new style per se,
it's just more sugar added to the syntax. So previously, there was no
way to define a component, now you can. But the methods though look
the same as UDFs in the past. (To be fair, that isn't 100% accurate,
but go with me.)

So that being said, yes, the docs are a bit messy in terms of this.
