Wow, who'd would think the companies listed below would have a clue about
technology?

Bank of America - No wonder my money disappears when they use such a technology
that didn't make it!
AT&T Wireless - #1 wireless provider, can't be true if their using ColdFusion
can it?
Casio USA - They couldn't build a watch if they tried!
DHL - No wonder why their always late!!!
Mayo Clinic - Yeah, they aren't innovative are they?
Symantec - Of course, they have no idea what "tech" even means.
The US Senate - I guess the government doesn't know what they're doing
either... (Some may actually agree, lol)
Siemens - For crying out loud, what are they thinking about using that
technology, geez.
Sprint - Aren't they a little behind the times using that thing called "Cold
[space] Fusion"
US Bank - Can't trust them with our money if they aren't going to use the best
technology
United States Olympic Committee - That'll be the last time I watch the Olympics!
And last but not least, the NSA for crying out loud? It must be pretty scary to
see them use CF huh?

What a small list of big companies, and that's just off of Adobe's website
(with the exception of the NSA).

DISCLAIMER: This is really a [EMAIL PROTECTED] email, for all those that
couldn't tell. The editor of this article clearly doesn't know what he's
talking about, and is still living in the 70's if they think ColdFusion hasn't
made it. And, I agree we shouldn't stir anything with the editor directly as
that's what their looking for, it's a publicity stunt from someone who's
probably die-hard on a single platform/technology that bottlenecks them and
therefore they are jealous! I think most people in the CF Community are open to
more than just CF, whereas other communities, they limit themselves only to
one, because they don't know better.

Subject: Yet another article about how 'coldfusion never took off'

Sheesh, they are comparing Coldfusion to the likes of ALGOL and
something called 'Befunge'. Where do these editors come from?

>From the article:

Given its ease of use and its position as a transitionary language from
HTML, it is rather surprising that ColdFusion's popularity has waned so
quickly. The ColdFusion killer wasn't due to a failure in marketing the
programming language, nor due to any particular language design flaw.
Instead, ColdFusion has been slowly displaced by ASP.NET and PHP, which
offered a MySQL integrated product in a free open-source form.
