It depends on the prerelease and who is running that product's development.
I can proudly say that I was on the CS4 Master Collection prerelease now. In fact, I think the NDA allowed me to say I was on the CS4 MC prerelease even while it was still in development, however, there were certain things I could not discuss. Adobe was great about telling us what/when we could discuss and it usually mimicked what Adobe folk had previously previewed at user groups or other media.
