Yes. It's currently running under a domain user account I set up. This
domain user is only in one group, a special global group I created for it.
I then created a special CF local group on the server which houses the
Verity Collections, stuck the special CF Admin global group into the CF
local group. I created a share and gave that CF local group permission to
the share.
CF starts up fine under this special account. I spent a good deal of time
in the registry giving that global group permission to access certain keys
per the instructions in the Defusion article. In retrospect, I should have
given the rights to a local group containing that global group, but who
really cares right?
Anyways, you also have to give the group rights to "log on locally", and
"log on as a service". If CF is accessing things across the network, also
give it the right to "Access from Network". It's all in the Defusion
article. I also turned on Auditing in NT for awhile during my trials and
tribulations with this. Didn't really help too much, but did let me know
real quick that the service didn't start up correctly.
