I use Crystal Reports to allow my clients to print mailing labels for
contractors and/or new home owners(web based interface). Works like a
charm. I love crystal reports. We also publish our newsletter with crystal
reports(accessible via the web). The way crystal reports works through a
web browser has been wonderful for us.

I pass parameters, mostly thru form fields, sometimes via url and out comes
a crystal report exactly like it looks through their native interface.

I don't know why you wouldn't be happy doing what you want to do with
crystal reports.

I like the .pdf idea to. But never have been able to get one of those
solutions to work that was easy for me. Never tried the scansoft one
mentioned, though.

Well, we going to need to print about 50 - 100 picking tickets a day as well
as formatted shipping labels.

So, it would have to be like printing from an Order entry application.

I'm thinking the best way to do it would be to generate the raw ascii data,
transfer it to the pc, and write a program to create and print the pick
tickets and labels.

Are talking about printing the screen? or printing a form from the
browser?
