SP6 or SP6a? Make sure you are using SP6a. If you aren't already on SP6a,

You looking at CF in the perfmon? If you have this type of control over
your server, try this:
Make sure you are the only person hitting the server.
Restart the server.
Watch the currently running threads for CF in the perfmon (enable in
cfadmin).
Click on templates one at a time till you identify one which hangs.
Start commenting out code, using cftry/cfcatch, timeouts, whatever it takes
till you identify the code causing your problem.
