In this situation one would have to argue that regardless of what
consultants say about your code something is very wrong. It could also be
the configuration of the sun box, but I'm not sure where to point on that
one.

My reasoning for this is that Allaire would not release a product that takes
200 ms to render a simple page. Are you using Spectra? That would make a
huge difference. Is there an application.cfm above this "simple" template
that would be slowing it down? Have you tried turning on extended
benchmarking and pinpointing exactly where the holdup is?

Here's another tip: If you need to reboot your servers every few hours, I
would look into getting a more stable production environment. This would not
be acceptable under any circumstances (even if they're clustered) in my
house regardless of the OS or the software running on it.
