I have three CF servers ( one still on v4.01 and other two on 4.5.1 SP2)
that have sites having occasional login errors to MS SQL 7.0 SP2 server.
SQL Server records the login failure as an 18456 error which usually occurs
when you send it a bad password. Since the templates have the password hard
coded, it is difficult to understand what the problem might be.
A template refresh will usually login and execute the CFQUERY ok. It is a
rather infrequent problem, but a looksee at the event log suggests it
happens several times a day for each site.
MDAC is at v2.6 on all servers. Other ASP driven site talking to the same
(remote) sql server dont seem to have a problem.
Any ideas on how to track it down?
