Just go into the CF administrator, click MAIL under miscellaneous, enter the
IP address of the mail server, Apply and Verify.

Subject: Mail Server Connection Settings and CFMail
Dear List,
I am in the process of migrating a site to a new server. I am having trouble
getting the CFMail tags to work properly. The machine CF server is installed
on does not have a domain name yet. All content is accessed via an IP
address. Until I transfer the domain name to the new IP addresses the CF
server SMTP settings will point to the old mail server.
To recap:
CF server installed on machine A on network B
Mail server installed on machine C on network D
How do I use CFMail tag executed on machine A to using mail server on
machine C?
I apologize for how poorly I have stated my question, but hope someone can
make sense of it enough to help me. Also, please let me know if
cross-posting CF-Talk and CF-Server is frowned upon.
Thanks,
Brian Ivey
