I seem to recall that sometimes I am able to restore a backup of a SQL 7
database to SQL 2K, and other times I am not. There are a couple of other
alternatives that I have used, both of which utilize DTS.
1. Try the Copy Database Wizard - I seem to recall using this, and it copied
over everything, including sps, users and logins.
2. Try the DTS Import or DTS Export wizard, and tell it that you want to
copy database objects.
Feel free to ask if you have any more specific questions.

Hi All,
Has anyone faced any problems in restoring a MS SQL 7.0 database to MS SQL
2000? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
