Oliver,

You really should talk to your client about upgrading to a newer version of
Informix. The newer versions seem to work fine with CF (sanity check
anyone?), and I am pretty sure that Informix wont support your customer
*at all*. Online 5.1 has been out of production for several *YEARS*.

Hi,

I am just about to start work on a new project, one of the few stumbling
blocks I can foresee with this project, is that fact the company use
"Informix Online 5.10" for there "backend". (They are also using CF Server
4.5)

Unfortunately they don't really want to upgrade, as it would be very
expensive.

I was wondering\hoping someone here has got CF & Informix "talking"?

Is it even possible?

I know Informix uses ODBC so I am hopeful but as we all know web
development
isn't always that straight forward. (esp. with out-of-date databases!)

I have a meeting with the client in a few days and any inside knowledge
would be a great help.

Regards,

Oliver Cookson
