New Cold Fusion Developer, having trouble setting up CF Administrator,
seeking assistance from the experience pool. Currently, I've installed the
Netscape Server as the remote Browser with which to access the CF
Administrator but instead of the Administrator, all I get is one line saying
"Allaire Cold Fusion Template" and a lot of garbled control characters that
make absolutely no sense. I have Ben Forta's book Coldfusion 4.0 Web
Application Construction Kit and the disk provided therewith, but neither
helps when it comes to troubleshooting this problem. I have installed,
uninstalled, and re-installed CF Server 4.0, I have Studio 4.0 up and it
seems to be running properly, except that it doesn't recognize the CFML when
I "Browse" the files containing CFML. I implore anyone among you, "PLEASE
HELP" because help from Allaire is not immediately forthcoming and I only
have 16 days left on my evaluation agreement. I have signed up for the
upcoming Free Allaire Seminar in Atlanta on the 23rd of January but like I
said, time is running out. I know once I get beyond this hurdle, it should
be smooth sailing and I won't bother you anymore, I promise.
