CFERROR does not send emails out when an error occurs, instead it displays the
contact info specified in the Error.MailTo attribute. You can also specify which
template will be returned to the client when an error occurs, allowing the
developer to "dress" the error page with the site's navigation and adding a
customized message instead of the standard CF error page.  You obviously need to
test these features before asking questions.
