First let me say I am running cold fusion trial version 4.0 on my windows
98 laptop with PWS as my web server. Second, I have never used the cold
fusion scheduler before.

Last night I tried to set up a simple script. I wrote a script to
increment a counter on my database. If I run the script from a browser it
works fine. I went into the cold fusion administrator and went to the
schedule section. I filled in the for to run the job every minute from
22:00:00 to 23:00:00. I chose NOT to have the output saved to a file. I
submitted the page and it was displayed on the page of scheduled jobs.

I waited a few minutes and nothing happened. My counter had not been
incremented.

So I went searching around the admin section and I am not sure where I saw
this but there is another page which allows you to choose how often new
scheduled jobs are looked for. I chose to set this to 1 minute.

I waited a few minutes and nothing happened. My counter had not been
incremented.

I thought maybe I should go reload the scheduled job so I tried that.

I waited a few minutes and nothing happened. My counter had not been
incremented.

Do you have to run the cfschedule tag to get this to work or can you just
schedule it using the administrator? Or am I way off base?

thanks in advance,
kaigler
