There are currently API's available for C++, Delphi, and Java. If you have
MS Visual C++ installed at the time you installed Cold fusion you can choose
to install the Custom tag wizard that walks you through setting up your
custom tag. If you buy Ben Forta's book "Advanced Cold Fusion Application
Development" the library files for Delphi are included on the CD in the back
of the book, I believe they are for Delphi4. The Java classes are in the
cfusion/java folder in the cfx.jar file when you install CF4.x . When you
start using custom tags on a regular basis it is very handy to have a custom
tag editor to accompany your custom tags. To create a custom tag editor
without learning how to write the vtml language go to
http://www.netwebapps.com/mytags/main.cfm and use the custom tag wizard for
all of your custom tags, it also creates a starter template for writing your
own custom tags in the cfml language.
