I've upgraded my test/development server to 4.5 successfully and now have to upgrade my cluster of 4 production servers (clustered with BrightTiger and RR DNS only, no hardware load-balancer). To minimize/eliminate downtime and allow me to do the work at a convenient time I was thinking about dividing the cluster up, creating a cluster of two machines to handle all the work while taking the other two offline to upgrade them, then switching to the upgraded ones and upgrading the first pair. Anyone have any suggestions or warnings about doing this, or care to share you experience? ------------------------------------ Martin Herbener Kentucky Department of Education ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Structure your ColdFusion code with Fusebox.
