Can you try to send it down comma separated or some other delimiter such as
a tilde? OR in the box that you get when you import, unclick the "Treat
Consecutive delimiters as one" checkbox.

Subject: tab delimited files
I have a program that reads my database and downloads it tab delimited.
When I open this file in excel if there are 2 tabs next to each other (no
information was left in between them), the 2 columns are combined. This of
course causes problems.
Has anyone seen this before? The only thing I can think is to either enter
a space or some sort of non printable character. The only problem I see is
this may cause problems with reports that are driven off of this download.
Any one seen this or come up with a different solution?
thanks
