I suppose if one wanted to get really creative they could make a 'host
header' based domain, likes images.yoursite.com and place all the image
files under that webroot, then leave your main site different.

The log for images.yoursite.com would have all the gif/png/jpeg calls, and
the main one would have only pages to .html, .cfm, .class, etc files.
