Well from my stand point, I have my studio updated to 4.5.2 from time it was released, I did NOT experience any problems with RDS connection to connect to any CF Server (4.5,5.0) installed on any OS (WinNT, Win2k Server or Pro, Linux). It works just fine and resolved any major issues of previous versions. I would still highly recommend to update it.
