Another simple way to clear Registry Client vars if you have a second CF
server with no or few client vars is to export the following key from there
and import it on the problem system.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Allaire\ColdFusion\CurrentVersion\Clients

If you don't have a clean system you can email me off list and I can send
you a reg file to import that is a clean version of the Client vars key.

Subject: Cleaning out the registry (client vars)

Hello all,
I had made a configuration error way back and stored my variables in the
registry. Now I get an error that tell the registery is full and I need to
extend the registry size. Also my site quit validating new customers I
change my client vars to db and now I am wondering what is the best way to
clear my registery. Everything is ok since I change to db on the site, but
am wondering I have done everything I need to do.

Below is the error i was getting on my site.
Error Diagnostic Information
Error attempting to get the client (Client ID = '').

A problem was encountered trying to access the system registry. Error number
1450 occurred.
