Another simple way to clear Registry Client vars if you have a second CF server with no or few client vars is to export the following key from there and import it on the problem system.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Allaire\ColdFusion\CurrentVersion\Clients If you don't have a clean system you can email me off list and I can send you a reg file to import that is a clean version of the Client vars key.
