Reg, db or cookie.  Take your pick.  It has to be stored somewhere... 
where do you suggest it be stored?  Go into the CFAdmin, click on client 
variables and you'll see those are the only choices for you ... not sure 
what will happen if you pick None.  Probably nothing will get stored if 
you pick none (meaning, you're not using client variables).
