Thanks for the advice.

I did just try this a couple of times to be sure. However, it does not solve
my problem.

Even if I leave no value for LOCALPATH in cfremote.ini (which is located in
my c:\CFusion directory), the request packet does not contain the REMOTEPATH
value. 

It is, however, correctly forwarding the request to the remote CF server, as
the packet is correctly addressed. But it just seems to ignore the
REMOTEPATH!!! I do get a CF-generated 404 message from the remote host.
