We are using oracle 8i with cf5 enterprise on solaris connecting with native drivers (version 8.1.7) and continually see cf crashes. According to our tech at Macromedia, The crash comes when the OCI is trying to return and describe a query/stored proc back to cfserver through kpug. We have tried running a truss on the cfserver process to see if we can find the template that is causing the error. So far this has been unsuccesful. I am wondering if anyone using ORACLE and CF5 has ever encountered this problem before.
Also there are no application level errors being generated. I am not using any shared scope variables, and the cfserver processes are not being overloaded. We are running just fine and then "BAM" crash and core dump. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
