Hi Kym,

Have you tried running smconsole.exe in \cfusion\bin to check that all the
settings for db/security have been configured properly?

    Thanks.

Subject: CF5 install Advanced Security Failure

  Hi all,

I am just building a new server for a client that has a nice set of CF5 and
Spectra licenses that he doesn't want to waste and all has gone well except
the CF5 install has sort-off failed. It is CF5 Enterprise and when I had
finished installing it I went to set up the Advanced Security before I did
the Spectra Install and it brought up the "change to a decent database"
wizard, just like normal. I had set up an SQL datasource for just this and
the wizard ran fine moving SiteMinder over to the SQL database, with OK
confirmations all the way. However when it finished and refreshed the
advanced security screen in the CF admin that came up with an error page
saying "Security Policy Administration is not available".

I have looked at everything I can think off, confirmed the connection is OK
using smconsole, looked in the registry, etc., and I can see nothing wrong,
  except it won't work :-(

  Anyone seen anything like this?

  Yours,

  Kym
