Of course, you realise it's easy to embed a 'trusted' application like IE
and use it to your own ends. This would allow an app to make an outgoing
connection without triggering the firewall.

http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,103620,00.asp is one example, but
there was a more generic one too that I can't find a reference for.
