Hi,

We are having problems with our Advanced Security on Coldfusion 5
(Solaris). I recently installed a new version of Java on our machine and
updated the "Java Virtual Machine Path" under the "JVM and Java
Settings" section of CF Administrator. Since then our Advanced Security
has stopped working.

To try to rectify the problem I have changed the "Java Virtual Machine
Path" to point back to the original libjvm.so in the Coldfusion
directory but Advanced Security is still not working.

I am not 100% sure that the Advanced Security problem is related to Java
- it just seems a conicidence that the two things happened at the same
time.

The problem we are having is that it appears no connections are being
made to LDAP. The last entry in our LDAP access log shows more-or-less
the date that I installed a newer version of Java, and no connection
attempts have been made since. Also when I go to Advanced Security
Configuration in the Administrator, I just get a CF error message saying
"Security Policy action failed" & I don't see any of the Advanced
Security options.

Trying to log in with a browser to one of the pages protected by
Advanced Security (Spectra) just results in the username and password
being rejected, but no CF error message.

Does anyone have any pointers on this?

Thanks!

Jason
