Hi Christine, Fantastic. Thanks very much for that.
I have given it a go and haven't been able to crash the server which is a first. With CF_MTS_HEAPS set to 1, I guess it means all threads are sharing the same heap. And from your documentation snippet, it will reduce performance. Do you think this is likely to be significant? Although seems ok with initial tests. Any tips on how to determine the optimum size for CF_THREAD_STACK_SIZE? Or shall I just stick with 10000? If this solution fixs the problem (which looks likely) I'm amazed that there isn't a macromedia tech note detailing this. Is the bug with the way ColdFusion is calling/using malloc? Or is there a Solaris bug with malloc? Thanks again for your help. Cheers, Will. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=10 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=10 Host with the leader in ColdFusion hosting.
