the menu, but the RDS option is not available. I wonder if, perhaps, CF
MX Pro (not Enterprise) behaves differently. Perhaps, when we check the
"make RDS and Admin passwords the same" box, it hides the menu option?
The good news is I found a way around it. Here is a crappy work-around
that works for me:
1. Sign into your CF administrator, using your CF Admin password.
(you should get your main admin page with the menu on the left, sans RDS
option)
2. Copy/paste this URL into that browser window:
http://www.YourServerHere.com/cfide/administrator/security/cfrdspassword
.cfm and hit enter. (or modify the URL line to hit this page)
3. Change the password like normal.
That allowed me to change mine.
My guess is perhaps if you played with the registry settings to
"uncheck" that make-them-same option, it might work out better, but I'm
always afraid to poke into the registry! So I just do this.

One or our network guys upgraded our server from Cold Fusion 4.5 to MX.
Now there is no place for a user password and no RDS. This was not the
case with our other servers.
Can we fix this or do we have to uninstall and reinstall MX?
Priscilla
