The difference is that 1, we didn't start first with the CFMX internal web
server. We used IIS from the beginning. Second, we didn't have two
instances of the CFIDE directory prior to installing the UPDATER. So I'm
not sure what's happening. But the fix is the same, make sure that all
CFIDE directories have ALL of the files.

Sounds like the issue covered in the release notes, issue 56971:

http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/coldfusion/mx61updater/re
leasenotes_cfmx61_updater.html

<quote>

If you have two instances of the CFIDE directory, one in the web server's
web root, and the other in the cf_root directory, the Administrator might
generate cfimport errors. If you have such a configuration, rename the CFIDE
directory that is located in the cf_root directory, or ensure that both
CFIDE directories contain the same files by copying the files from web
server's CFIDE directory to the cf_root/CFIDE directory after you complete
the update.

Users who initially installed ColdFusionMX 6.1 using the ColdFusion internal
web server and started using an external web server at a later time are most
likely to encounter this issue.

Subject: CFMX 6.1 Updater

I installed CFMX 6.1 for JRun and ran it. I then ran the Updater. As I
did, I input in the paths to the CFIDE directory. However, when I fired up
the administrator after running the Updater, the administrator was broke.
Seems the updater reset the path from where I had the CFIDE directory to one
under JRUN, or something like that. All I know is there are now two
additional CFIDE directories under JRUN, and I had to make sure they all had
the same files in them before the administrator would run. Anybody else run
into this issue?
