not a nice way, more of a sledge hammer approach, eh?

Change the setting of the first boolean value in the
/WEB-INF/cfusion/lib/neo-runtime.xml to true.  See
http://www.macromedia.com/support/coldfusion/releasenotes/mx/releasenotes_mx_updater.html

Note that anytime you use CFAdmin to edit neoquery.xml, this happens
when you modify/add a DSN, this setting gets reset back to false.
