Thank you for the kind and considerate answer.  I did RTFD at Adobe  
who say the _11 is sufficient but will look at using the _17 version.   
Two additional weird things.  I know we did not have this problem last  
year and one of the four servers I have checked works just fine all on  
the same OS (Cent OS - Linux) and same JVM.  For the moment we have  
moved those processes that are time critical to the one good box.
