Nat:

I just finished taking the Advanced CF class in Seattle last week and the
instructor (Bill Cupps of DevTech) mentioned that CFHTTP always uses 2
threads per use.  He said that the problem is that if the server's available
threads is low due to configuration or load, you could "lock up" your
server.  I'm no expert, but what you're describing sounds similar.  Perhaps
someone more knowledgeable could comment on the specifics of settings, etc.
