Joseph, we have solved this kind o problem if you upgrade your MS-DB to
MS-SQL-Server (e.g.) and use a connection driver from Merant to the UNIX
Box. (Although you need Windows NT were the DBs reside)

http://www.merant.com

That worked altough the driver isn't very cheap.

Subject: OT: Access and Solaris

Hi,

My company is running ColdFusion 4.5 on two Solaris boxes. My problem
is that almost the entire company uses Access 97 for local databases.
Is there any way to connect ColdFusion Admin to an Access database on a
Solaris box?

If not, can anyone suggest an alternative format that will port easily
from Access and work smoothly in the Solaris environment? We've been
trying to use FoxPro and free table directories, but there have been
problems getting updates to recognize primary keys. (which FoxPro
doesn't support in free tables)
