I am extremely impressed and pleased, in practice, with a dedicated FreeBSD
machine (P166, 32 megs RAM) running postfix as MTA (an IBM public software
product) and Listar as MLM.
Easy to set up, high-quality software, comprehensive anti-spam defense,
solid security, active, highly customizable in each module, daily mailing
list support by the developers and top-level users/admins.
Listar produces its own mailing list archives. My next step is to add
searchability of the list archives with MHonArc.
