Ok.. I am having date trouble, and I am not talking about with the women.

What is the convention in recording and displaying dates? I have a voting
booth that keeps an archive of the records and I have it set a variable to
the Now() function and store it as the date. Then when I display it back I
get "04-Apr-00" as the output. What I need it to do is 1) display as "April
4, 2000" or something that is more user friendly and 2) Be searchable (so I
can do a query with a user inputted date or date range)
So, how do other people do this? What convention is used out there to make
this easy? Thanks!
