Thanks for ur advice but can u please give me an example as I am totally new
to coldfusion or else tell me where to put the javascript code.
I have my insert form where I have used <cfinput> tag for validating
textfields.and have one textarea with the following code.
<textarea name="Action" rows="8"></textarea>

Yep, <cfinput> tag does'nt accept textarea, however you can use html
