Hey, i had a virus today that Norton called "Bloodhound.Unknown" which
basically means that NAV thinks it's bad news but really has no idea what it
is or what it does...
i did a search for "hllugn.exe" at altavista, yahoo, infoseek etc...
couldn't find anything about it. excite came back with some links but
nothing that had anything to do with what i was searching for (way to go
excite!).
have a look for "c:\windows\hllugn.exe".
here's where it attaches itsleft in the registry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command
the value should be ""%1" %*" (without the quotes)
if you've been infected it will be "hllugn.exe "%1" %*" (without the quotes)
just take out the "hllugn.exe " (without the quotes but be sure to catch the
trailing space)
no idea what it does really (except run everytime you run an exe file in
windows)...
can't get to symantec to check yet...
lemme know if you guys have any ideas :)
