Subject: autogenerated keys
Hello All:
Is there a way to determine the auto-generated primary key generated by
Access when using CFInsert? I am trying to create two records, one that
creates a key (auto numbering turned on) and another that uses the key that
was just created.
I suppose I could save a unique predetermined key at the same time as I
create the first record and use this to query the table for the value of the
autocreated key but this seems like a forced solution. Is there a better
way? Am I going about this wrong?
Thanks,
Scott
