Does your CFX perform a specific action (like file operations) as the
impersonated user, or does it make all CF tags (esp CFOBJECT) act in the
context of the impersonated user?

I have written a CFX tag that allows CF to impersonate any NT user (with
username password). Normally, CF processes run under SYSTEM. I use this
extensively on our campus network to retrieve from file servers. If you want
binaries or source, email me off-list.

This doesn't use the IIS authentication per se, but you can authenticate
from a form submission or a database lookup. We do it from a form
submission, see http://home.cua.edu/
