What I'm doing is this. Email messages are sent to various systems folks relating to
performance, etc. I am sending a CC to a POP3
box and grabbing them in a scheduled app once daily (off hours) to put in an archive
table in the datawarehouse. I can't do it real
time because the warehouse has windows of unavailability (batching from legacy
systems). So, to avoid loosing some of the messages,
I'll just batch them from the POP3 box once daily when it's convenient. Seems to be
working fine now.

Doing it for fiend of mine who is a real luddite Dave. I've used the mail
list wizard that comes with CF to create an interface and in the action
template I just inserted a CFINSERT before the wizard generated code to
populate the database with whatever was entered in the form fields.
Is that what you are trying to do?
