Um, no, don't use evaluate...

Look at the CF math functions (Functions, not Tags!)

   <cfset A = 3>
   <cfset B = 7>
   <cfset C = A / B >

   <cfoutput>
     <br>  A /  B = #C#
   </cfoutput>
