(For the record, WHEREFOR means "why" or "for which reason", it does not
mean "where" :-) )

You should be aware that the CGI variables that are available vary from web
server software to webserver software.  For instance, Apache has a few less
variables than IIS does.  I think the easiest way to find out which ones
your server supports is to look at the list of them at the bottom of your
page when you submit a Cold Fusion page while debugging is turned on.

Having said that, there is a list of some common ones here.  Its a reference
for PERL, but the variables are basically the same:
